In 1988, Pastor Matt Heard, along with 50 other people, planted Park Community Church out of Moody Bible Church at Francis W. Parker School with a vision to reach young professionals living in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

In 2008, Park Community Church purchased the Near North building but made the decision to become a multi-site church located in neighborhoods throughout the city of Chicago.

By the grace of God, as of Fall 2023, Park Community Church is a family of 15 interdependent churches located across the city of Chicago seeking to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people until there is no place left.
