Meet the Elders

Dan grew up near Dekalb, Illinois, and has been a part of Park since 2010 after moving to Chicago for a job in banking. He came to faith at a young age after having talked through with his parents His need for Christ as his Savior. Dan met his wife Amy on a Park retreat in Lake Geneva and they were married in 2012. They have 6 kids: Nate, Elizabeth, Charlie, Brooks, Catherine, and Peter and live in the Old Town neighborhood. 

Nick grew up in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He met his wife, Rachel, through a small group leader training at Park Lincoln Park in 2019, and they now live in Lakeview with their young son. After growing up in the Lutheran denomination, Nick experienced a renewed faith early in college at Olivet Nazarene, as he spent time exploring Scripture more deeply, which led him to follow Jesus more intentionally. A new job brought Nick to Chicago in 2016, where he began attending Park shortly after.

Matt grew up in Galesburg, IL and came to faith in Christ at age 11 and was baptized later that year. He has been part of Park LP since 2018. Matt graduated from the University of Illinois and works in Financial Services. He met his wife Anna at Park in 2023 and they got married in 2024.  He and Anna live in the Lakeview neighborhood.

Originally from Astoria, New York, and raised on Long Island, Joe graduated from the University of Florida in May 1992. He has lived in the Chicago area since September of that same year. In April 1993, he moved to Lincoln Park and first walked through the doors of Park Church as a spiritual seeker that very month. Four years later, he became a follower of Jesus at Park. Joe earned his Master of Divinity from Moody Theological Seminary in May 2003. He joined the Park staff as a pastor in October 2004 and has led the Lincoln Park congregation since September 2009. He currently resides in the East Lakeview neighborhood. An avid Florida Gators sports fan, Joe loves cooking big meals and sharing them with friends!

Cam grew up in Northern Indiana and moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University. He was a student in 2012 when he first attended Park LP as a seeker. A couple years later, he received Christ and was baptized here at Park LP. A key part of discovering his need for a savior, by God’s grace, was through several young men faithfully walking alongside him in small groups and fellowship that grew from relationships that first started in the seats of Francis Parker School. This includes 10 years cycling with a group of Park attendees known as the Park Peloton. Cam met his wife, Chloe, in 2018 and they got married in 2020. Chloe grew up in Grand Rapids, went to Wheaton College and has been walking with the Lord since childhood. They welcomed their first child, Will, in June of 2024, and they live in Ukrainian Village.

Brandon was born in Kenya and grew up in a small village in Tanzania as the child of missionary parents. He came to faith while attending a Christian boarding school in middle school. After graduating high school, he attended Northwestern University and got involved in campus ministry and grew in his heart for Evangelism and passion for the Great Commission and unreached people groups. He graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree and has worked in industrial robotics ever since. Brandon married his wife Amanda in May of 2022 and they welcomed their first son, Isaiah, in June of 2024.

Shane grew up in Odell, Nebraska. He met his wife Laine at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and they got married in 2009. After growing up in the church, he truly recognized his need for Savior late in college and began to follow Jesus after moving to Kansas City. After three years there, they moved to Chicago in October of 2012 and began attending Park shortly after. Shane and Laine have two daughters, Audrey and Mellie, and live in Lakeview.
