Our story
In 1988, Pastor Matt Heard, along with 50 other people, planted Park Community Church out of Moody Bible Church at Francis W. Parker School with a vision to reach young professionals living in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. By the grace of God, Park Community Church is now a family of 15 interdependent churches located across the city of Chicago seeking to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all people until there is no place left.

At Park LP, we teach through books of the Bible so that we might make disciples, equip the saints, send them out, and spread far and wide. Right now, we are preaching through the Gospel of Luke!
The Discipleship Pathway
The Discipleship Pathway is not just for new believers, it’s for everyone who calls Park LP their church home. It is not a program to complete, but a way to live that centers our life around Jesus. It is the way we foster a culture of discipleship in all of life. This isn’t something done in isolation, but together in community.
